 Virginia founded Your Extended Family because of her frustration with the way other agencies care for their clients. Seeing different caregivers being sent to the same client every week, poor communication, and inconsistency of care. She knew she could do better. She wanted to create a more personal environment that resembled the care and consistency of a family. Virginia has an extensive background, in both academic and medical fields. She has a BA in business administration and a Master’s in education, in addition to an LPN and CNA. Virginia is a Connecticut local, growing up in Clinton. Now, as a mother of 3, she runs her business out of Old Lyme, Connecticut. 

 Your Extended Family is not associated with any franchise, and has been in business for over 7 years, providing assistance in New London and Middlesex counties. The owner is personally involved in assessing and managing services to every individual client. She provides a free consultation visit to the clients home and proposes the best service solution to meet the clients needs and budget. With no layers of management, you and your loved one truly become a part of our extended family. Clients are then matched for personality and will have the same caretakers that service them every week, creating a true consistent service model that allows you or your loved one personalized care that other agencies can’t provide.  Unlike most agencies we have a very low turn around rate for both our clients and our caregivers. They stay with us because we care, and demonstrate that caring by charging a fair service rate with no hidden fees. Our caregivers are paid the highest rates in the industry and everyone is treated like a member of our Extended Family.
